Landed a new software engineering position last week with a local image and multimedia SDK/API company. I was not out of work that long which helps me to understand the value that I still have in the IT/technical community -- was a bit worried about that given the current economy.

I am going to make a concerted effort to stay connected with old friends and colleagues going forward. Using Twitter mostly for that now ... but LinkedIn is still there like an address book that I never open. I hope to get it consolidated to a nice organized collection of interroperable tools for social/peer technical networking -- not yet, but someday soon.
